The Worried Men Skiffle Group's album "Trottel Kannst Mi Hassn" is a delightful collection of traditional skiffle tunes. The band's energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and they play with a joy that is impossible to resist. The album is full of foot-stomping rhythms, catchy melodies, and witty lyrics, all delivered with a sense of humor and a twinkle in the eye.

The band's musicianship is impressive, with each member contributing to the overall sound in a unique and distinctive way. The banjo, guitar, and washboard are all played with skill and precision, and the vocals are strong and clear. The arrangements are simple but effective, allowing the songs to shine through without unnecessary embellishment.

One of the highlights of the album is the band's cover of the classic skiffle tune "Cumberland Gap." The Worried Men Skiffle Group's version is lively and fun, with a great sing-along chorus that will have listeners tapping their feet and joining in. Another standout track is "Maggie May," which features some impressive banjo picking and a great vocal performance.

About Worried Men Skiffle Group

The Worried Men Skiffle Group, founded in 1960, is the oldest, still existing Band of the so-called "Austropop" style, which they have co-founded. This was the first band to bring the local dialect into pop song lyrics, mixing it with improvised folk music. They got a whole new era in the Austrian music scene started: In the beginning it was called "Dialektwelle" (= dialect wave) which finally was labeled as "Austropop". Due to copyright problems, most of their ground breaking early songs are unfortunately not available on CD in the original versions, e. g. the legendary hit "I bin a Wunder" (= "I'm some kind of wonder"), a follow-up to their No. 1 single in Austria, "Glaubst i bin bled" ("D'you think I'm dumb") (with lyrics from a Konrad Bayer poem). The lyrics of the Worried Men songs are often misunderstood as "comedy
