Self employed when i worked customer service in homes. I did everything to please. often mistreated. After a rough day i got in my car and calmed down listening to this song
Lovely. Like that ending.
You don't know how important this song is at this time. TT2022 YHWH
. . . In the evening , old man river , . . . même émotion , même profondeur , même authenticité , même beauté tout simplement.
I can still hear my dad sing this ❤️ love and miss you poppa bear ???
Great song ??
This is by far the best version of this song.
Long live this real music rest in power uncle Ray Charles you are so missed ? ???????????
Great song, great singer
He plays the piano and relives his childhood and adulthood; and the Black Male's experience with torture.....that was constant in Soo many ways then and now. ??????R.I.P.
I had this song played at the viewing for my Son who tragically passed.
Fallout New Vegas brought me here. God bless the game devs for creating something so interweaving.
Wow, Ray. Amazing.
I love Ray !! ? I think He's in Heaven. I look forward to meeting him that glorious day.?? Paul ??
Ray Charles Version Of This Song, Went To Number 20 On The Billboard Hot-100 Chart In 1964.
We enjoyed this.
TFW you got the NCR suckling your teats, and it feels so goooood.
A classic beyond classics…
Ummm...Kind of insulting to the old sun there, can't we admit? The old perpetuator of life. Supplying our energy, heat and light. Commands our days and our nights.
My absolute favorite rendition of this beautiful song.
This just proves that there has to be a God.
Most people have never even heard of this song. If you love Ray this is pure gold, one of his best and stands up against any of the greatest songs ever recorded, in my humble opinion anyways. Elvis...Sinatra...Ray.....the sounds of heaven!
My dad sang it, too. Along with "Born to Lose." He was a Marine who saw a lot of action and lost a lot of buddies. Was humbled and baffled by the mystery of life that he was still alive, narrowly escaping death countless times. He finally died in 1994 and buried in a military graveyard with his buddies and had a 21 gun salute. Those were his final wishes. A very brave and noble man. And I will always love him very much.
Beautiful x
Hallelujah!
“They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. I said I had a theoretical degree in physics. They said welcome aboard.”
This song is thousands of years old...not in lyrics but in sentiment. All that we do we do to each other and to ourselves.
He totally inhabited this song.
❤
So far this my favorite version
