Review by Antonina Hall

My Funny Valentine Miles Davis In Concert is an album that showcases Miles Davis' incredible talent as a jazz musician. The album features live recordings from Davis' 1964 concert at the Philharmonic Hall in New York City, including his performance of the iconic song "My Funny Valentine."

The album captures Davis' unique blend of cool jazz and bebop, with his signature muted trumpet sound taking center stage. The band backing him up is equally impressive, with standout performances from pianist Herbie Hancock and saxophonist George Coleman.

One of the highlights of the album is the extended version of "All Blues," which allows Davis and his band to really stretch out and explore the song's various melodies and improvisations. The album also features a number of other jazz standards, including "Stella By Starlight" and "I Thought About You."
