Review by Dawn Teresa

Michael O'Duffy's album, A Bogsider Sings, is a beautiful tribute to the traditional music of Ireland. The album features a collection of songs that are both nostalgic and contemporary, showcasing O'Duffy's impressive vocal range and his ability to convey emotion through his music.

The album opens with "The Hills of Donegal," a classic Irish ballad that sets the tone for the rest of the album. O'Duffy's voice is strong, clear, and emotive, and he effortlessly captures the spirit of the song. The rest of the album features a mix of traditional Irish songs and more contemporary pieces, all of which are performed with skill and passion.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Fields of Athenry," a haunting ballad that tells the story of a man who is sent to prison for stealing food to feed his family during the Irish famine. O'Duffy's rendition of the song is heart-wrenching, and he manages to convey the pain and desperation of the song's protagonist in a way that is both powerful and moving.
