Review by Dominic Lambrinos

The album 9 Orgelwerke by Dieterich Buxtehude, performed by Hans Heintze and Lisa Schwarzweller, is a masterful collection of organ compositions. The duo's impeccable musicianship and technical skill are on full display throughout the album, as they expertly navigate the complex and intricate pieces.

The album opens with the majestic "Praeludium in G Minor," a stunning display of virtuosity that sets the tone for the rest of the collection. From there, the duo moves seamlessly through a series of compositions, each one showcasing Buxtehude's unique style and flair.

One standout piece is the hauntingly beautiful "Nun bitten wir den Heiligen Geist," which features intricate harmonies and delicate melodies that are expertly rendered by Heintze and Schwarzweller. Another highlight is the lively and energetic "Toccata in F Major," which is a true tour de force of organ playing.
